Chris Meyercord, President
A 1988 Bellarmine graduate, Chris Meyercord has served as Bellarmine’s president since 2015, and previously served as principal, assistant principal, and admissions director. Meyercord also teaches in the English department and helped found Bellarmine’s immersion trip to Tijuana. A graduate of Stanford University, Meyercord earned his B.A. in English with Honors and a Master of Liberal Arts.
Rod Jemison, Principal
Rod Jemison’s career in education includes being the founding head of school of United World College ISAK Japan (UWC ISAK Japan), Upper School director, Upper School dean of students, and teacher at La Jolla Country Day School in La Jolla, California; and teaching positions at The Branson School in Ross, California; Montgomery Bell Academy in Nashville, Tennessee; and Kurikoma Junior High School in Miyagi, Japan. He received his Master of Arts in Literature from Tennessee State University and earned his Bachelor of Arts in English Literature at Morehouse College. Mr. Jemison was appointed national co-chair of the 2010 National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) People of Color and Student Diversity Leadership Conference and created and led implementation of a strategic plan to address issues of diversity involving students, parents, faculty, and staff.
Laura Earwood, Assistant Principal for Academics
Laura Earwood joins the Bellarmine community from United World College in Wales, UK and currently serves as Assistant Principal, Academics, overseeing the school’s student support programs. She has spent the past 10 years serving high school students in schools across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. She has served in a variety of instructional and leadership capacities at her previous schools, and has a proven track record of creating supportive and inclusive environments for students to thrive and learn from each other. Laura has a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Management from the University of Nottingham and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Bedfordshire.
Lynne West, Assistant Principal of Instruction
Lynne West has been a member of the Bellarmine community since 2001. She has served in a variety of capacities at the school, including Latin and French teacher, Modern and Classical Languages Department Chair, Instructional Specialist, and currently serves as Assistant Principal. For many years, Lynne has led a successful consulting practice which serves Catholic, Jesuit, and independent schools across the globe, helping them to reflect on and strengthen their instructional capacities with teaching faculty. She was awarded a Fullbright Distinguished Award in Teaching in 2015 and conducted her research on foreign language teaching in the Netherlands. Lynne has a Master’s from UC Santa Barbara and a Bachelor’s degree from UCLA.
Nick Creech ’03, Assistant Principal of Mission and Identity
Nick Creech joined the administrative team in 2023 after previously teaching in the Religious Studies and English departments and serving as Director of Campus Ministry and interim Assistant Principal for Academics. His first job at Bellarmine was teaching English as an alumni volunteer. In between terms at Bellarmine, Nick worked at Xavier College Preparatory in Palm Desert, where he started the school’s Kairos retreat program and music program. Nick holds a Master’s in Catholic Educational Leadership from the University of San Francisco and an undergraduate degree from Pomona College.
Brian Adams, Vice President for Advancement
After careers in media and public relations, Brian Adams came to Bellarmine in January 2007. His background has been instrumental in his role related to marketing, communications, and community relations. At San Jose State University, he received a B.A. in Radio/Television Broadcasting with Distinction and Honors in Theatre Arts, and a Master of Science in Mass Communications.
Ron Miller, Chief Financial Officer
After a lengthy career in the tech sector, Ron Miller has served as Bellarmine’s CFO since August 2014. Prior to joining the school, Miller held senior leadership positions with several Silicon Valley startup, mid-size, and Fortune 500 companies serving in senior-level financial and operational roles. He has worked in various markets, including defense/aviation, hardware/software, fabless semiconductor and life science research equipment. He earned an MBA from Golden Gate University, and a Bachelor of Science from the State University of New York in Buffalo.
Rob Scholla, S.J., Superior, Bellarmine Jesuit Community
Fr. Scholla was named Superior of the Bellarmine Jesuit community effective July 31, 2024. Before entering the Society of Jesus, he did undergraduate studies in Biology at the University of Southern California and graduate work in Education at the University of California in Berkeley. As a Jesuit, he obtained his M.A. in Mediaeval Philosophy from Fordham University and later spent seven years working and studying in Rome where he completed his Doctorate in Sacred Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University, specializing in the area of Fundamental Theology. Fr. Scholla will continue teaching at Santa Clara University.
