Bellarmine students, faculty, and staff gathered for an assembly held October 14, during which they heard from Doc Hendley, founder and president; and David Cuthbert, CEO; of Wine to Water (www.winetowater.org), a nonprofit organization committed to supporting life and dignity for all through the power of clean water. After school that day, more than 400 students returned to the Patrick Wayne Valley Memorial Gymnasium to assemble 850 filters that will enable people in Nepal and other countries to have access to clean water. This unique experience was another example of how Bellarmine provides opportunities for students to use their talents and gifts for the benefit of others, and to grow in character as members of a global community.
