Bellarmine student Aditya Indla ’22 has been selected for two national advocacy awards: the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids National Youth Advocate of the Year, and the America Cancer Society Cancer Action Network Emerging Leader.
Aditya is one of only four National Youth Advocates of the Year selected by the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids and he is the sole Emerging Leader award recipient of the year.
“I would not have been able to earn this award if not for the Jesuit tradition of service,” noted Aditya when notifying Anne Maloney, director of the school’s Christian Service Program (CSP), about the honors, adding his gratitude to her and CSP “for inspiring me on this path.”
Aditya’s advocacy continues this week as he is scheduled to participate in a conference on racial justice and tobacco on October 8.
