Three distinguished Bellarmine alumni and the 2001 Wrestling Team are the newest inductees of the school’s Alumni Hall of Fame.
This year’s honorees and their respective categories are John A. Sobrato ’56, founder, The Sobrato Organization and Sobrato Philanthropies (Business); Frank Bergon ’61, author and English professor, Vassar College (Humanities and the Arts); John Glaspy, MD, MPH ’71, oncologist and professor of medicine, UCLA Medical (Science and Medicine); and the 2001 Wrestling Team, CCS Team Champions and CIF Scholastic Champions (Athletics).
The Bellarmine Hall of Fame event was held on campus the evening of August 24, with the ceremony taking place in the Sobrato Center for Humanities and the Arts, followed by an outdoor reception and dinner on the Leo J. and Mary G. Lucas Quad.
The honorees were recognized for their ongoing dedication to being men for and with others in their chosen professions, exemplifying the Ignatian tradition of service.
