The Texas Christian University (TCU) football team stunned Michigan on New Year’s Eve with a 51-45 win in the Fiesta Bowl played in Glendale, Arizona. The victory means No. 3 TCU is headed to the College Football Playoff championship game against No. 1 Georgia, to be played January 9 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, and among those affiliated with the TCU team are three Bellarmine alumni.
Luke Splaine ’19 plays linebacker for the Horned Frogs, Connor Albanese ’20 is the team’s athletic trainer, and Paul Gonzales ’03 is safeties coach.
It's been 85 years since TCU last won a National Championship. Good luck to all involved, with a special shout-out to our Bell alumni!
