In place of its usual Golden Bell Auction this year, Bellarmine College Prep is teeing-up the inaugural Fr. Cobb Golf Classic and Virtual Auction, presented by the Office of Alumni Relations and Office of Advancement. The March 26 golf tournament at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco sold out within hours of registration a few weeks ago, but everyone is encouraged to access the virtual auction and event program, taking place March 27 at 7 p.m., via this link: www.bcp.org/auction
There is no fee to register for the online event that will feature several student performances and a special appearance by Bellarmine alumnus and Broadway performer, Ryan Vasquez ‘10. Prior to the pandemic shut-down, Ryan was the first actor to play all the roles of Alexander Hamilton, Aaron Burr, George Washington, James Madison, and Thomas Jefferson in Hamilton. He also appeared in the original Broadway cast of Waitress and made his Broadway debut in Wicked.
Word has it that Bellarmine Jesuit icons and longtime friends, Fr. Jerry Wade, S.J. and Fr. Dick Cobb, S.J., are also quite entertaining in the program.
The virtual auction will include a variety of wine (Screaming Eagle anyone?), vacation homes for those summer getaways we have all be longing for, golf outings (such as The Golfer’s Dream package which includes five rounds of golf at highly sought-after courses including Pebble Beach Golf Links) and more.
Proceeds from both events benefit Bellarmine’s Direct Tuition Assistance Fund.
