Dances & Events

At Bellarmine, dances and other social events are considered a valuable part of our students' educational experience and all students are encouraged to attend. These events offer an opportunity for students to socialize in a supervised and safe environment. During the school year, Bellarmine hosts several different types of dances, including mixers, date dances and formals. Other extracurricular events include athletic contests, plays, musical performances, movie nights with other schools, and various themed events put on by school departments.

Notes about Bellarmine dances:

Throughout the year dances may differ by theme, dress, cost, and guest requirements; these are well publicized on campus prior to each event. However, for all dances, every student must bring his or her high school ID card, be appropriately dressed for the specific dance and must behave in accordance with the values and regulations of Bellarmine. These guidelines, developed and implemented by the six schools in the Diocese of San Jose, are described in Bellarmine's Student-Parent Handbook. Student behavior and manner of dress should reflect these guiding principles.
